Carnegie Mellon University Computer Club
The Computer Club at Carnegie Mellon University receives a large amount of correspondence from recruiters seeking to hire people for computer-related jobs. Unfortunately, many of these messages fail to reach their intended audience.
The page is intended to explain what we can, and cannot, help you with.
The Career Center can assist you with this. Student organizations are not directly involved in this process, and we are not able to speed up the process or get you a preferred arrangement, nor can we collect resumes or schedule interviews.
We do have a mailing list for such announcements. Send email to jobs-info@club.cc.cmu.edu. Those who wish to subscribe (and receive job announcements) should email jobs-info-subscribe@club.cc.cmu.edu. If the job is in the Pittsburgh area, and Linux/Unix related, you might also consider the wplug-jobs list.
Some organizations affiliated with the university seek corporate sponsors. If you are interested in making a donation, we may be able to put you in contact with interested parties.
The university does from time to time invite guest speakers to present on various topics of general interest. If you would like to give a talk on a technology-related topic, we may be able to help arrange that. Talks which discuss commercial products may be of interest, however we will say no to blatant advertisements.
