Finder Options was one of several popular tools to enable hidden features in System versions 7.5.3 through 7.6.1. These features include:

• Control-drag a file or folder to make an alias
• Command-Delete moves any file or folder to the trash
• Reveal Original item in Finder's File menu

All of these features can be turned on and off. In addition, you can disable window zoom animation and/or translucent dragging.

Note: Finder Options is not necessary and is obsolete under Mac OS 8. The only change is that control-drag has been replaced in OS 8 by command-option-drag.
