Recorded again using irclog.lisp.

The invitation this year was done using a wallop rather than a global message,
meaning that many users did not see the invitation, not being +w by default
with their respective client (I think that irssi also defaults to -w). IRC is
also unfortunately a protocol which is getting fewer users every year, people
moving in mass to centralized monopolistic commercial web-based social
networks. Computer-savvy (actually technical people) are also becomming rare,
versus the growing trends of consumer-only, TPM-locked mobile devices. Those
wireless devices also have trouble maintaining stable long-term connections,
making IRC a difficult medium to use with them. For all of those reasons,
this log is shorter than usual, and might be all the more valuable
historically as a remnant of hacker internet culture, FreeNode being an
open-source oriented project.

HNY!
