We have divided the work for this project into a number of milestones. A description of each with estimated date of completion is provided below.

• October 25, 2011: Prepare hardware test bench environment - OS installed on computer, power monitoring software working properly.
• November 11, 2011: Prepare software benchmarks, finish usage scripts for evaluating interactive applications such as web browsers. Make necessary hardware modifications for DC power monitoring.
• November 18, 2011: Collect and analyze power usage data from a variety of applications.
• December 1, 2011: Develop a power management technique based on data from our research. Develop a variable-frequency Linux thread scheduler and a custom CPUfreq governor.
